The InstructionalCoach will be responsible for: learning how to deliver the reading and mathinterventions and related assessments; learning behavior management strategies;providing on-going coaching guidance to paraprofessionals, a majority of thiscoaching will be provided virtually; conduct assessments with participatingparaprofessionals, teachers, and students; travel to local schools to conductassessment and observations; code video and audio recordings of intervention;conduct data entry and data checking; may be involved in travel to other sites(Nashville, Dallas, Atlanta) for meetings, assessment, or observations; will berequired to complete human subjects research training.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides ongoing support to paraprofessionals participating in the research study.
Conducts assessment with study participants.
Provides assistance with data and materials management.
Meets with Project Coordinator for ongoing training.
Profile of an IdealCandidate:
A Bachelor's degree in Special Education (or related field) from an accredited institution of higher education is necessary.
Special Education teacher certification is strongly preferred.
2 years of special education teaching experience with experience delivering both academic and behavioral interventions to students with disabilities is necessary.
Reliable transportation is necessary.
Previous experience serving as an instructional coach is strongly required.
Ability to multitask, manage large projects, and adhere to deadlines is preferred.
Ability to keep up to date with current events and technologies in the field is preferred.
Self-motivation is preferred.
Ability to maintain curricular and industry knowledge is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
Knowledge of the use of a variety of assessment tools is preferred.
Knowledge of researched-based instructional strategies that engage all students is preferred.
Preferred start date is February 2019. Hours range from 20 to 29.5 per week, 10 months per year.
